An Art and Design – Fashion and Industry Student Graduate Catalogue from OsloMet

Project description

Vilde Hjeltnes En mannlig og en kvinnelig modell

Typisk Norsk?

Typisk Norsk?, meaning «Typical Norwegian?» is a collection portraying well-known stereotypes. With a sense of humor it’s raising questions about Norwegian behavior and values, traditions, identity and if it’s even possible to define «Norwegian culture». The design is in between street fashion and a more experimental expression – using a combination of traditional techniques, vinyl cut prints and customized printed fabrics. The collection is inspired by old Norwegian craftsmanship and the consumer mentality concerning sportswear and equipment in Norway. The garments are mainly made out of wool-, silk- and technical fabrics.
